OUR TEAM
DAVID ORMSTON LL.M

A qualified Chief Engineer with over 30 years’ experience on a variety of vessels. Moving ashore in 2003 I have built up extensive shore ISM technical management experience with employment in the positions of Fleet and Technical Manager, responsible for developing, implementing and ensuring vessel compliance with ISM on a range of vessels including Chemical tankers, Oil tankers, LPG tankers, Landing Craft, and Superyachts.

 

Over the past 7 years I have spent a considerable amount of time working and living in the Middle East, where I gained extensive vessel management, H&M casualty experience and condition surveys, along with office and vessel audits throughout the region working with some of the world's largest Marine Insurance companies.

 

NE Marine Survey Services Ltd brings this wealth of experience to the industry, providing a professional and bespoke approach to consultancy services for our clients. 

ROY ELLIOTT

A qualified Master Mariner with over 24 years’ experience, 21 years at sea, from cadet to master, sailing on a variety of tankers and bulk carriers but mainly crude oil tankers. Having made the move ashore in 2014 I have gained experience in cargo superintendence, oil loss control and cargo audits, working for oil majors as well as traders and refiners, my experience also covers on and offhire surveys and navigation audits.
